My Profile
When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, outgoing and practical. The three careers that match my style are: hunter and trapper, fish and game warden, and wallpaper hanger. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a hunter and trapper. I selected this job because I enjoy being outdoors and seeing wild animals. One of my daily activities as a hunter and trapper would be to check traps everyday. I also have to cure the pelts. In addition, I have to mix bait for the traps. To work as a hunter and trapper, I need less than a high school diploma but it helps to have some intelligence on the job training from an experienced trapper. I must be good at setting traps and choose the right locations to set traps in order to become a well trained hunter and trapper. In the United States, the average salary for a hunter and trapper is $32,000 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is unknown. In the United States by the year 2013, employment for a hunter/trapper is expected to decrease by 19%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 33%. I am looking forward to becoming a hunter/trapper in the future.
